Little children by their very nature are full of openness and innocence. Our chancellor Amma says that it is easier to create footprints in soft grass rather than when it matures and grows tall. Likewise, good values and a sound spiritual understanding can be cultivated easily during this impressionable age. Our school is focusing on fostering a child's self-esteem, health, communication skills, critical thinking, creativity, and smooth transition to primary school for their overall development.
As children grow, so do their impressions about the world around them. Special attention is given to personality development of the child through participation in value centered activities. During the three-year preparatory stage, our teaching pedagogy integrates a range of activities including classroom interactions, reading, writing, speaking, physical education, and art.
In middle school, the effort is to sow seeds of learning and enquiry while also continuing to nurture each aspect of the child’s mental and physical being. Students have an opportunity to develop their skills in technology. Positive values are again reinforced through house activity participation, value education and leadership development program. Our middle school curriculum prioritizes critical learning objectives, representing a significant shift away from the traditional rote learning methods. We will focus on experiential learning across subjects such as sciences, mathematics, arts, social sciences, Skill based Subjects and life skills.
The upper school is designed with an emphasis on achieving academic excellence and technological prowess without compromising on the overall development of the child. A close bond is formed between educators and children and continued participation in co-curricular activities is encouraged. The emphasis is on creating thoughtful citizens of the future who care about community, country and Culture. Throughout these four years, the curriculum is designed to promote multidisciplinary learning, with a focus on developing depth of understanding and critical thinking skills.
